Hailing from Boca Raton, FL., Dr. Afsha Naimat-Shahzad (“Dr. A”), completed her undergraduate education at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she majored in Biological Science and minored in Healthcare Administration. Dr. A then attended medical school at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL, where she graduated with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2015. Dr. A then completed a comprehensive 3-year surgical residency at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, PA., where she treated Division I college athletes at the University of Pennsylvania Sports Medicine Department. Today, Dr. A is affiliated with Seton Medical Center Austin.

Dr. A is fluent in several languages including Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Since 2018, she has practiced and lived in Leander, TX with her Dallas-native husband. Together, they have watched Leander grow over the last four years. In her spare time, Dr. A loves to work out, cook, read, travel, and spend time with her family.
